Casting vision at The Church at Station Hill
Wow. Boxes are all over our little townhouse and we are just over a week away from loading up the moving truck and heading back to Holly Springs! We are totally blown away by all that God has done in our lives through this past year of residency. We have met some incredible people and made some wonderful new friends through this experience. We hope and pray that we will be able to stay connected through social media and the power of the internet. We also hope that we will be able to come back to the Nashville area at least once a year to visit. It would be great to see any of our TN friends if and when you come to/through the Raleigh area (hint hint)! It would be a huge understatement to say that we will truly miss our new friends. We are so thankful for you, your friendship, support, encouragement, guidance, wisdom, and prayers that you have so generously poured out for us! We will be leaving a piece of our hearts here with you.
At the same time, we are also super pumped to get back “home” and reconnect with many of our close friends and begin implementing all that God has been doing in us over this past year! The vision that God has for Holly Springs is HUGE and we can’t wait to get started. We know that God has already been at work there and in no way has He been waiting for us. Instead He has been preparing us, those He is calling to join us, and those He is calling us to reach! We are so blessed to have 5 families including 9 adults and 10 kids on our Launch Team already and we know that God will be leading many more to “join the movement
” in the next few months! Our moving day is Monday, June 30th
and if you are available and in the area, we could use some help unloading the truck on Tuesday, July 1st!
Even if you can’t help, we would love the chance to get together with you soon after we get back in town if you are in the area! We are super excited about getting back!
We know that once we get back to Holly Springs, life is going to be very different and we will need time to adjust to our “new normal” – especially once Dawn finds a job and Bailey starts school. But one of the things we are most excited about is the opportunity to intentionally love our neighbors and develop relationships with them. Looking back we realize that we fell into the busyness trap and allowed that to become an excuse to not take the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40
) literally. We know it won’t be easy and will likely be a long and messy process but we pray that God will use us to show our neighbors and our neighborhood how much He truly loves them!
